core values

Presence

We gather around God’s presence, creating a space for healing, restoration, and transformation. Our desire is to cultivate a lifestyle of pursuing His presence each day, so we can bring Heaven to the world around us.

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalms 16:11

Family

Revival starts in family. Our heart is to have a personal connection with every person who comes to our church. Through good times and challenging seasons, we want to do life with you.

“To the fatherless he is a father. To the widow he is a champion friend. To the lonely he gives a family. To the prisoners he leads into prosperity until they sing for joy….” – Psalms 68:6

Generosity

We reflect God’s character through a generous spirit. Freely giving of our time and resources is a tangible expression of the Kingdom. Our passion is to generously give and serve inside and outside the walls of the church.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10

Excellence

Just as God gave His very best for us, we desire to give our best back to God and to others. Excellence is not perfection, but rather doing the best you can with what you have where you are.

“Daniel became distinguished above all the other high officials… because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.” – Daniel 6:3

  • Our heart is to be the epicenter where Heaven touches earth, transforming people and places through the love and goodness of Jesus. We believe His Kingdom is still moving with miracles, signs, and wonders.

We have decided that we don't want to just read about revival. We want to experience it.

We have decided that we don't want to just go to church. We want to be the church.

  • Harbor Christian Center is an Assemblies of God church, and as such, we are Pentecostal in both doctrine and practice. Here is a brief summary of some fundamental truths:

    • The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative written word of God.
    • We believe in the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—one God, revealed to us in three Persons.
    • We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ’s atoning, sacrificial death on the Cross on our behalf.
    • We believe that when we receive this truth by faith, we are received into God’s family. As sons and daughters of God, we received the gift of eternal life in heaven.
    • We believe that Hell is real, and will be the eternal dwelling place of those who reject the Gospel message.
    • We believe that the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit are for believers today and include divine healing, tongues, prophecy, miracles, signs, and wonders.
  • 1. Creation

We were created in the image and likeness of God for relationship with God.

    Genesis 1:27, Genesis 3:9

    2. Separation

We separated ourselves from relationship with God by sinning. Our good works can’t restore the relationship or remove the sin.

    Romans 3:23-24

    3. Reconciliation

Jesus came to reveal God’s heart and to reconcile God and humanity by dying on the cross and rising from the dead 3 days later.

    John 14:7-11 and 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

    4. Invitation

Jesus is giving an invitation to all of humanity to know Him and to enter into relationship with God through belief and repentance.

    • Belief = Trusting that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and what He did on the cross removed the obstacle of sin, reconciling to God anyone who would come to Him.
    • Repentance = Turning away from a lifestyle of sin and turning toward a lifestyle of following and imitating Jesus.

    Revelations 3:20, John 17:3, Romans 10:9-13, and James 1:21-22
